More Information about Vacuum Switches
Vacuum switches are used in vacuum systems to measure when a vacuum reaches a specific level.
Vacuum switches usually contain a nitrile diaphragm, a micro-switch, and an adjustable bias spring. The spring force is adjusted so that the micro-switch is actuated when the vacuum level reaches the desired level.
Pre-set vacuum switches are not adjustable and are factory set to a specific vacuum level.
Vacuum system levels are usually measured in inches of water (in. W.G.) or inches of mercury (in. Hg).
